GESS INTERNATIONAL PLACES JAPAN COUNTRY MANAGER FOR ONE OF THE LARGEST CHIP MAKERS IN THE WORLD,

GESS International is now able to report that it placed the Country General Manager for Japan in one of the largest chip makers in the world. Our client was a major Analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs) maker with a huge product portfolio used in everything from car radios to computer peripherals to TVs and wireless handsets. The company also makes many types of general-purpose discrete semiconductors and logic devices. Customers include Apple, Dell, Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, Siemens, and Sony. In 2006 they went private.

GESS engaged in the client through its operations in Corporate HQs in Europe, its regional and country operational heads in making the selection of a short list of actively recruited candidates -- all of whom were not actively on the market.

In an open search competing with a host of other recruiting companies GESS presented strong candidates approached directly -- ones who did not respond to job boards or were currently not on a registered database. An initial screen was followed by an on-going search process yielding not one, but two strong candidates. Interviewing these candidates, this Euro 2.0 Billion company selected and offered the candidate the position.
